David Cornell

In October 2019 David started his own business...... MOVETEC. David started his career in the automotive industry and then progressed into the material handling and manual handling fields and has over 25 years’ experience in these fields. Having worked for Hyundai as a service technician it was in this role that he learned how to rebuild gearboxes, auto transmissions and diagnose engine management systems, and due to his diligence, he stood out above the rest and was awarded apprentice of the year at Hyundai Australia. After receiving his qualification, he became the workshop foreman due to his keen eye for detail, before moving on to more prestigious models such as Audi, where he expanded his knowledge on detailed electrical systems. Still striving to increase his knowledge, David started work in a small mechanical garage that saw a vast range of vehicles and machinery. Moving into the material handling world David started working for Linde as a field service technician and it was here that he learned everything pneumatics, hydraulics, hydrostatic drive systems and battery electric fork truck systems. Being in a fast paced, high-pressure environment David learned the value of time management, prioritising workloads, and maintaining inventory all the while keeping his customers satisfied and informed. To further his knowledge David started working on Staminalift machines at some of Victoria's largest hospitals and became well versed in the products. During this time, he was also exposed to an extensive range of motorised and non-motorised equipment and built up a high knowledge base on this equipment.
